Leave no Gap in your Health Insurance Coverage
Are you in the process of changing health insurance policies? Are you leaving your job and in turn losing health insurance benefits? If you answered yes to either question you need to make sure of one thing: you never want to leave a gap in your health insurance coverage. If you do you are taking a risk that you never want to flirt with.
The best way to avoid a gap in coverage is to know when your current policy is going to end. When you have this date engrained in your mind you will know when your new coverage needs to be active. As long as you make the dates match-up you do not have anything to worry about.
There is never a good reason to leave a gap in your health insurance coverage. You may think you can get away with this, but while doing so you will begin to feel like you are taking too much of a risk. Imagine how bad things can get if you have to see a doctor when you do not have coverage? This could lead to lots of medical bills, and an uncertain future; especially if you are diagnosed with something serious when you don't have coverage.
Don't take the risk of leaving a gap between the expiration of your old health insurance policy and the activation of your new one. It is not worth the risk.
