Is your Health Insurance Changing?
If you receive group health insurance there is a chance that it could change. This doesn't mean that it will be canceled, but your employer may decide that changing the policy is the best way to lower their cost. This can be a very big deal; especially if you are the type who uses health insurance regularly.
Your company will tell you if your health insurance is going to be changing. This will give you the time necessary to make any adjustments to your life. Chances are that you will stick with the new policy, even if you do not like it as much as the old one. You will probably have to make some concessions and changes to the way that you are doing things, but in the long run you should be able to settle back into a routine.
If you buy individual health insurance your company can only change your premium. This is a big deal, but at least they cannot take your coverage away or tweak it in any way, shape, or form. If your premium is increased you always have the right to change policies or companies.
Do you think your company may change your group health insurance in the future? This is something to watch out for. If it happens, do what you can to best get along with your new policy. A policy that has been changed is better than nothing at all.
