You may not be excited about calling your health insurance company on the phone but there are times when online communication is not going to make things any easier on you. Fortunately, most health insurance companies believe in offering a good customer service experience. This means that you should be able to get through to a helpful rep soon enough.

Here are three reasons why you may need to call your health insurance company:

  1. 1. You received a bill when you shouldn’t have. This is definitely a reason to call your company. After all, you don’t want to pay for something that your health insurance plan should cover. Never let this slide!
  2. 2. Have you received a notice that your health insurance premium is going to increase? If so, you definitely want to call your company to get the bottom of this. You may not be able to change their mind, but at the very least you will get a better idea of why you are being charged more money.
