Okay, you don’t want to be scared of your car insurance company. That being said, there are some reasons that you should worry about them from time to time. You need car insurance, and you don’t want your company to do anything that could affect this. And while you are in charge of your own situation, you need to remember that your car insurance can do a lot of things.

Here are three reasons why you should be “scared” of your car insurance company:

1. They can raise your premium at anytime. This is nothing to cry about, but for many people it is a big deal. If you are stuck paying more for car insurance it may mean that you have to save less, or cut other expenses out of your life. Are you willing to pay more just because your car insurance company says so?
2. You can have your car insurance coverage canceled if you make too many claims. Remember, the more claims you make the more of a risk you are. This means your company may eventually get to the point where they no longer want to do business with you. Now do you see why it is so important to stay safe?
3. Your coverage can also be canceled if you receive too many moving violations. Some people cannot seem to stay away from speeding tickets, etc. Does this sound like you? If so, you should know that your car insurance company will first increase your rate. And if you continue to get tickets they have the right to cancel your coverage.

There is no reason that you should ever have to be entirely scared of your car insurance company. Sure, they can increase your premium or cancel your coverage if you make too many mistakes but most insurers are fair when it comes to dealing with customers.
